RaphaSpring Hospital joins the World Heart Federation and health advocates across Nigeria and beyond in observing World Heart Day, under the campaign theme “Use Heart for Action,” with the 2026 focus theme: “Don’t Miss a Beat.”
Cardiovascular disease remains one of the leading causes of death worldwide, and here in Nigeria, hypertension, stroke, and heart disease affect families in every community.
The good news? Up to 80% of premature heart disease and stroke deaths are preventable, but only if we act early and don’t ignore the signs.
This World Heart Day, use your heart for action and don’t miss a beat:
✅ Know your numbers: check your blood pressure regularly.
✅ Don’t ignore warning signs: chest pressure, breathlessness, or pain spreading to the arm or jaw need prompt attention.
✅ Keep your appointments and take your medications consistently.
✅ Eat heart-healthy, stay active, and say no to tobacco.
✅ Manage stress and prioritize rest
At RaphaSpring, we’re committed to walking this journey with our patients: from screening and early detection to ongoing management and care.
This September 29th, let’s turn awareness into action and make every heart beat count, for ourselves, our families, and our community.
